From humble beginnings growing up in Blacktown, to competing on the world stage across four Olympic Games, Dan Collins’ ongoing pursuit for excellence is nothing short of convincing.

Since retiring from his Olympic quest for Gold in the sport of Kayaking, taking home both Silver and Bronze medals along with numerous World Championships, Dan has focused his energy on managing transformational, organisational change, driving accountability and performance in the corporate world.

“I believe that every culture is the result of the sum of the individuals involved, irrespective of title, position or hierarchy,” says Dan.

“Poor culture is a reflection of poor leadership and poor leadership is the result of poor personal awareness and responsibility.”

It is with this experience and awareness that Dan now acknowledges his own growth in his ongoing pursuit for excellence, with the recent appointment of Business Manager, Cristy Ross.

Having previously held senior leadership roles with Cancer Council Queensland, Maven Dental Group, Optometry Australia and AGPAL, with a background in marketing, public relations, business development and event management, Cristy is well placed to support Dan in his pursuit of the world stage, yet again.

With increasing demand for Dan’s expertise across a range of industries and professions Australia-wide and more recently with international markets, Cristy’s appointment couldn’t be better timed. As the need for strong leaders becomes more and more relevant to the corporate world, so to is the need for strong mentorship, real recognition and well-informed teams.

Having worked with large corporate sporting entities such as the International Rugby Board, Australian Sports Commission, Australian Institute of Sport, NRL and AFL clubs as well as other industry leaders including Ernst & Young, AMP, Woolworths, Continental Tyre’s and the Virgin Group of Companies, Dan’s expertise is in high demand.

With a proven track record in achieving excellence by creating winners and increasing the level of professionalism at all levels of an organisation, Dan is excited about sharing his unique model, which establishes and aligns individual goals with company purpose, with his growing audience.

Reinvigorating staff performance to create a sustaining and winning culture, incorporates everything Dan stands for, including passion, camaraderie, accountability and growth.

Dan believes in the excellence of people – asking the burning question – “why shouldn’t it be us who are excellent at what we do?”
