A Keynote Address is a 30 to 90-minute session, typically supported by a visual presentation, including audio and video, as well as a reference to models to aid in understanding. Audience numbers are unlimited.

Effort

DELIVERY: 60 to 90-minute keynote

The feeling we feel when we succeed at reaching a goal is unparalleled. But to ensure we are in the best position to achieve, we must first set ourselves up with the appropriate operating system, as not all effort is equal.

Great fulfilment is only made possible if the effort we put in on a daily basis embodies two key components: focus and habit. From a focus perspective, our efforts need to be in line with our life’s key principles, which enables the right dreams and goals.

Secondly, we need to establish a solid, robust system that we can develop habits around, supported by the right attitude, so that our efforts generate maximum return. These two things allow us to identify purposeful effort, which ultimately leads to the achievement of our goals.

In this keynote address, Dan explains why everything you ever wanted is on the other side of hard work.

A Life Fulfilled

DELIVERY: 60 to 90-minute keynote

Anything worth achieving, comes with an extended period of discomfort.

Leaders who develop an environment which supports their team in navigating the uncomfortable journey, will best see them achieve the level of excellence they desire.

Since retiring from his Olympic quest for Gold in the sport of Kayaking, taking home both Silver and Bronze medals along with numerous World Championships, Dan has focused his energy on managing transformational organisational change, driving accountability and performance in the corporate world.

His ability to support learning through the art of storytelling, highlighting the lessons he himself learned based on personal successes and failures, sees audiences exposed to real-life, relatable challenges in his pursuit for excellence on the world stage.

In this keynote address, Dan explores how the joy and fulfillment of being a good human, just for the sake of it, combined with love and compassion for ourselves and fellow humans, can lead to a life fulfilled.

Advance Australia Fair

DELIVERY: 30-minute keynote

As Australians, we are fortunate to enjoy immense opportunity. As individuals, how we embrace these opportunities and commit to achieving our goals is what defines us. Sharing these opportunities in the spirit of our forebears is how we Advance Australia Fair.

Dan’s journey has seen him learn some harsh lessons and share some incredible experiences, which started in his late teens when he made the decision to commit to being an Olympian. In those days he did what he loved and enjoyed the confidence of knowing that, if he applied himself, he had the opportunity to represent his country and fight for the spoils of international competition.

As Australians, our anthem has within it the guidance to improve our circumstances no matter our current situation. We are fortunate to be exposed to many privileges and opportunities all around us … just because we are Aussies.

We are free to make our own choices in a land that is free and despite what some may think, we are capable of being a little bit better tomorrow than we are today.

That’s what makes living in this great country exciting. There’s always something to strive towards, something to shoot for, a reason to advance.

In this keynote address, Dan reminds audiences with great passion and vigor, that at every stage in our individual journey’s we have the opportunity to Advance Australia Fair.

Culture Deployed

DELIVERY: 45 to 60-minute keynote

Strong organisational cultures, where people are collectively invested in supporting the vision of a business, are both desirable and enviable. Many businesses believe that simply defining their ideal culture is all it takes to have one, but culture is more than just a definition of values and behaviours.

Investing time and money into defining organisational values and behaviours that contribute to the successful operation and outcomes of your business is invaluable. However, developing a process to deploy your defined culture is just as important and unfortunately, often overlooked.

Developing a process to deploy your defined culture includes principles, systems and tools, which in turn, build better leaders and better teams. Ideally, you need to develop both a collective and collaborative way of thinking across your business, which leads to a better way of doing.

Organisational wide thinking develops a desirable level of connectivity and end-to-end thinking, that sees teams work across and between silo’s as opposed to being in competition. It also busts entitlement thinking, empowering your entire workforce as a collective.

Building a culture where you create winners at all levels of your business is worth fighting for. However, a good fight requires good systems, tools and energy. In this keynote address, Dan breaks down the systems you need to create for the culture you want.

Speak-Shop Topics:

Silo Skills

Working in silo’s is just as important as working across functional teams.

With a focus on working better together, this speak-shop looks at what it means to follow the spearhead, be accountable and support leadership decisions, whilst working across silo’s, as opposed to breaking them down.

Participants will look specifically at how and why similarly technically minded teams are likely to work more effectively together, with the real wins coming from understanding how to work across silos.

Where reasonable expectations are set for each team, based on the overarching needs of the business, silo teams can effectively drive collective outcomes for the business as a whole.

Why Dan?

Dan Collins believes that every culture is the result of the sum of the individuals involved; irrespective of title, position or hierarchy. Poor culture is a reflection of poor leadership, and poor leadership is the result of poor personal awareness and responsibility.

In response to this, Dan Collins works on all levels of the company to create a winning culture. Dan delivers the tough stuff that others tip-toe around, revealing his passion, heart and care and sacrificing comfort for results. His unique model establishes and aligns individual goals with company purpose. This in turn reinvigorates staff passion and performance, creating environments where individuals are motivated by the attainment of achievement and success.

Creating and sustaining a winning culture requires an environment that incorporates everything Dan stands for: passion, camaraderie, accountability and growth.
